Play Inspired
What does it mean to play inspired?
To live inspired for that matter.
I used to think that golf was about proving myself.
It was about doing it right, being perfect.
The better I performed the more worthy I was.
So much damn pressure.
I have learned to take the pressure off myself.
My only goal is to play inspired.
To play divinely inspired from an internal creative impulse.
To be excellent in everything I do.
To be brilliant in a way that could only come from divine inspiration.
To realize I can’t do anything on my own.
I of my own self can do nothing.
The spirit in me is my swing coach.
The divine in me reads the greens.
My only job is not to think.
That is my hardest job, to be free of thought.
To only listen to Divine Inspiration.
That is what it means to play inspired.
To get out of my own way, to let go and let God.
Golf is the ultimate dance between my humanity and my divinity.
My humanity wants to control my swing and my life.
Divinity says let go, I got this.
To play inspired means to be committed to the invisible life force in me that knows everything.
I play with power.
I play with confidence.
I play with a peace that passes all understanding.
I play with creative imagination not striving for results.
Playing inspired is true freedom from expectations.
Expectations only disappoint.
Divine inspiration lifts us up to our Higher Self.
Divine inspiration allows us to be true to our own soul.
Divine inspiration breathes life into us.
Why would I ever want to be separate from that?
Divine inspiration is aliveness.
Play inspired.
