Dream the Impossible
It has been a little over three years since I left the pharmaceutical industry and moved from Florida to Colorado to pursue my dream of being an entrepreneur. I started my company called Divine Wellness Ministries on May 14th, 2018.
It has been quite a faith adventure since leaving the comfort and security of the pharmaceutical industry to being an entrepreneur leading a men’s fitness ministry.
In the grand scheme of things, I would say my adventure so far has been very successful. I have built a solid personal training business, started a men’s group called Spiritual Warriors Unite where we get together monthly and talk about what is going on in our lives. It’s a place for men to be courageously vulnerable. I have also launched an online men’s fitness ministry under the branding Barbells & Brothers.
I am still rolling with my podcast and blog and slowly but surely writing a book. My book projects seem to take me about four years for some reason, but through perseverance I manage to get it done.
What I have found is through all of this, I have gotten pretty comfortable. My life is good.
Going Minimalist
God is calling me to more. It has been on my heart to go minimalist for a number of years now. I am currently in the process of downsizing from an eighteen hundred square foot three bedroom town home into a one bedroom apartment. I am getting rid of most of my stuff. Talk about a freeing feeling.
The dream and vision is to simplify my life so I can be laser focused on my mission and purpose. God has put it strongly on my heart to minister to men with fitness as the platform to help them grow spiritually.
I will be moving to Gunbarrel, CO (yes there is such a place) which is about fifteen minutes north of Boulder. About five minutes from my front door I will be in the midst of some of the best cycling in the world.
Pursuing My Dream
I will be transitioning my ministry to a virtual platform. My dream when I left the pharmaceutical industry was to have the freedom to work anywhere in the world. I am making that happen.
As challenging as the COVID-19 virus has been, it has shown me a new possibility for my business. My hope and dream is to travel more. I want to go to Europe, Costa Rica, Ireland, Greece and so many other places while doing what I love making an impact in the world sharing the love of Jesus.
I have no idea how this faith adventure is going to work out. I am trusting God and what He has put on my heart. I am praying bold and courageous prayers. I would rather pursue my dreams and fail than say what if.
Matthew 19:26 says, Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” I am believing that God will do the impossible in me and through me.
Take a Chance on Yourself
My question to you is are you pursuing your dreams? Are you willing to take a chance on yourself and live an inspired life?
I love this quote from John Eldredge.
“The amount of risk you are willing to take is a reflection of how much you trust God.”
I am choosing to lean into adventure. I am choosing to trust God and live an inspired life.
I want that possibility for you too. What we need is more men and woman who are fully alive.
Let the adventure begin.
